Márcia Chuva is a Brazilian historian, Associate Professor in the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro State – UNIRIO and Researcher of the National Council of Research (CNPq). Her main research interests focus on the history of heritage and memory policies, ethnographic museums and the restitution of cultural assets in postcolonial contexts. She is a member of the ECHOES - European Colonial Heritage Modalities in Entangled Cities Project http://projectechoes.eu/about/entangled-cities/, funded by the European Union – Horizon 2020 Program, coordinating the Brazilian team with the University of Coimbra.
